Royal Institute of Art, Stockholm, Sweden

Open Lecture by Professor: Sigrid Sandström, Professor in Fine Art specializing in Painting

Welcome Thursday November 16 to Lecture room, floor 4 at the Royal Institute of Art.

Sigrid Sandström will in the Lecture Occurances and Whereabouts (Händelser och tillhåll) reflect on her own painting process and also present different educational parts from the past year.

Focus will be on the interactive relation between the investigative process and the final result.

Sigrid Sandström works foremost with painting, through which she investigates the notion of place as concept and as experience. Her painting work evades categorizations and examins continouously the onthological circumstances and limitations which are the prerequisitions in her painting work.
