Kungl. Konsthögskolan (KKH) will offer a new two-year master program in fine arts from the fall semester 2010. The education is focused on independent artistic work with continuous individual supervision by the professors and other teaching staff. The students plan their studies and artistic work by setting up an individual study plan in dialogue with the supervising professor.

Besides an in-depth theoretical seminar and professional preparation courses for all students at the master program, the students can choose workshops, courses, seminars and projects of both a practical and theoretical nature. In addition, there are open lectures, study trips, internships, and the possibilities to prepare for artistic research. The last semester concludes with an exam project, which is exhibited at KKH:s exam exhibition.

The master program has an international direction and the education is mainly given in English.  A third of the professor staff consists of foreign artists and the students meet several international guest teachers and lecturers through the course of their studies. There are study trips arranged as well as projects and workshops dealing with international issues and concerns. Furthermore, students can use the possibility to study abroad at one of KKH:s partner schools.
