Welcome to a film screening and discussion about dignity, ethics and aesthetics. With reference to the Syrian film collective Abounaddara’s method to depict the life of the ordinary citizen in a situation of war, media experts and decision makers will discuss ways of representing vulnerability and, at the same time, respect everyone’s right to dignity.
Charif Kiwan, spokesperson for Abounaddara, Hans Corell, former Under-Secretary-General for Legal Affairs and the Legal Counsel of the United Nations, Anna Serner, CEO for the Swedish Film Institute, Björn Wiman, Culture Editor at Dagens Nyheter, Malin Wahlberg, Professor in Cinema Studies at Stockholm University, Ingrid Thörnqvist, Head of Foreign News at Sweden’s Television, will be part of the panel.
The panel discussion will be moderated by Lars Mogensen, journalist at Swedish Radio.
