11.00-11.20 Presentation of the Art and New Media Collegium.

11.30-12.10 Josephine Bosma, critic, will give a presentation on the theme: “The Missing Link - The hidden history of media within art-systems”

12.15-12.45 Masaki Fujihata, Professor at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music will present some of his work.

12.50-13.10 Prof. Diane Gromala, Simon Fraser University School of Interactive Arts & Technology, Surrey, Canada. Will speak on the theme “Mediation, pain and VR” .

13.15-13.30 Prof. Jay Bolter will also join us in a virtual presentation from Germany based on Walter Benjamin’s concept of the aura of the artwork.

13.30-14.20 LUNCH 

14.30-15.00 Bruce Sterling, Author and critic, Wired Magazine

15.05-15.35 Maurice Benayoun , Transmedia artist will fly in straight from his opening in Paris and speak about his work.

15.35 -16.00 Coffee break

16.10-17.00 Benjamin Weil, New-media curator, will talk about the complexities of new-media art in the museums context.

17.10-18.00 We will round up with a summarizing discussion entitled “Where do we go from here?” together with all the speakers moderated by Cecilia Sjöholm, Södertörn University College

18.00-20.00 Buffet and bar

Fringe

We will show a documentary about Billy Klüver and E.A.T. (Experiments in Art and Technology) from 18.00. A sample of the Scandinavian new-media scene will be represented outside the auditorium along with ”visual DJ” Panagiotis Michalatos and his reactive sensors.
