Mejan Residents

‘Mejan Residents’ (60 ECTS credits) offer the opportunity to develop post-master level artistic research projects during one academic year. The studies are individually arranged around the proposed research project and developed in dialogue with a supervising lecturer or professor.

Participants are provided with shared workspace and access to the RIA’s well-equipped technical workshops. In addition to individual supervision, a number of seminars are arranged, and a production budget. A final presentation of the artistic research project is made during the spring semester.

‘Mejan Residents’ is open to professional artists, architects, critics, curators, choreographers, filmmakers and researchers with qualified experiences within the artistic field. To be eligible the applicant must have a degree at a postgraduate level, such as an MA, or the equivalent experience. The applicant should in writing outline an idea for an artistic research project with a production budget of a maximum of 50 000 SEK. The RIA accepts four applicants a year.

note: Mejan Residents will not be offered for the academic year 2016-2017.
