The Wood Workshop

The woodwork shop is equipped with industrial machines for working with wood and wood-based products, as well as acrylic plastics. Other materials that can be worked in the shop include aluminum and laminates. There is a vacuum press for forming bentwood products.

The well-equipped workshop enables students to work with sculpture, installations, constructions and props for video films and photography, as well as models, originals for mould-making, canvas stretchers and panels for painting on. The shop is used by students for a vast range of requirements.

Courses

Three foundation courses are run each term in the workshop which certify students to use the machines by themselves. Most of the instruction in the woodwork shop is individual.

During the year, workshops and study visits are arranged to meet student’s interests.
