Further Education in Architecture and Fine Art

The Royal Institute of Art’s courses at advanced level are based on architecture and fine art and are an important part of lifelong learning.

The courses are aimed at active architects, artists and other cultural workers who are interested in immersing themselves in current issues in art and architecture. 
The courses are based on research-based practical explorations of different topics and ideas.

Many of the courses operate at the intersection of architecture, art, social practices and urban issues. They investigate decolonial practices, the possibilities of public space, the role of heritage, the potential of creative writing and the affects of space, among others.

Application

Applications for the course ‘The Photographic Artist’s Book’, spring term 2027, are open from 17 September to 11 November. For other further education courses in Architecture and Fine Art at the Royal Institute of Art, the next application period opens in spring 2027.
